As a protagonist red-headed Daisy sizzles in Hot Ice, Cold Blood. Fortunately she is surrounded by several friends and a would be lover all of whom work hard at stopping her from burning. The complexity of plot and character development are exciting with just the “right” amount of surprising sadness to make it real. You will enjoy Washington DC as the venue.

This is a wonderful and engaging book for tweens to adults. The characters are well developed and the mystery is exciting to the end. This is a good book for parents and tweens/teens to read together and discuss the different character’s perspectives, thoughts, and feelings. I really hope there will be a sequel.
